　2011年3月の東日本大震災から11年となりました。プロジェクト発足から現在に至るまで、日本・世界各地よりトロンボーン奏者にとどまらない多くの方々に演奏活動、動画投稿、独自のチャリティ活動の企画・運営・継続、編曲活動やアレンジのご提供、グッズ募金など、様々な形でご協力をいただきました。
　“A SONG FOR JAPAN”の音楽はトロンボーンという楽器で発信され、様々な楽器やスタイルで奏でられてきました。たくさんの人々の手によって魂が宿り、様々な意味や想いがこもった作品となりました。
　日本・東北へのご支援とたくさんのお気持ちに、深く感謝申し上げます。

　2022年3月1日現在の警察庁のまとめによると、死者15,900人（災害関連死を除く）、行方不明者は3人減って2,523人。また、避難生活で体調を崩すなどして亡くなる震災関連死は11人増えて3,786人に上りました。
　お亡くなりになったすべての方々のご冥福を心よりお祈りしますとともに、現在も行方不明となっている方々が一刻も早くご家族のもとに戻られることを願っております。

　岩手・宮城、・福島の３県を中心に最大12万戸あった仮設住宅は現在、約750戸となっています。現地での活動は今も続き、“Tohoku”の復興は11年の歳月を経てもなおまだまだ半ば。各地の復興の度合いも様々ですし、直面している問題やクリアすべき課題もそれぞれ大きく異なります。
　震災直後に推定47万人とも言われた避難者は、福島の被災者を中心に現在も38,139人。福島県ではこの春に帰還困難区域の一部で避難指示が解除される予定ですが、住民の帰還が進むかは不透明なまま。津波被災地では宅地や防潮堤の整備を終えて以降も人口減に歯止めがかからず、地域をどう維持するのか被災地は向き合い続けています。

A SONG FOR JAPANプロジェクトは、震災10周年となった2021年に「A SONG FOR JAPAN これまでの10年、これからの10年」と新たなステップを踏み出しました。
音楽を通じて人やコミュニティが繫がり、東日本大震災の記憶や教訓を次世代に伝えられるよう、様々なスタイルにアレンジされお寄せいただいた楽譜をはじめとするすべてのツールを今後も引き続きお使いいただける体制を維持してまいります。
　被災地や全国各地で復旧・復興活動を続けておられる多くの方々が100%の元気と笑顔を取り戻されるまで、皆様の心のこもった演奏とより一層のあたたかいサポートをよろしくお願い申し上げます。

A Song For Japan” Project Continues To Support The Victims And Outcomes Of These Disasters

Eleven years have passed since the earthquake and Tsunami disaster hit the Tohoku of Japan, on the 11th of March 2011.
The team at A Song For Japan would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has supported us and prayed for Japan by donating, purchasing our products, playing the song, having and continuing charity events, and showing support in other ways.

The A Song For Japan team would like to send our condolences to the 15,900 victims, as well as the 3,786 people whose cases have been recognized as "related deaths.”
The fatalities and related deaths account for 22,000 missing people, in total. We wish to find and return these 2,523 missing people to their families as soon as possible.
The Japanese government announced that their Reconstruction Agency would continue for an additional ten years beyond what was first planned, which extends until the end of March 2031.

We hope we can continue playing heart-warming music and continue supporting the people of Japan until they have peace and 100% can smile again.

A SONG FOR JAPAN by Blast! members!

2017年夏に来日し47都道府県でショーを開催した、“ブラスト！”のメンバーたちによるA SONG FOR JAPANです。リサ・シャペルLisa Chappellさんより寄稿していただきました。

「この夏、ブラストのショー『ザ・ミュージック・オヴ・ディズニー』は、日本の47都道府県すべてをツアーでまわりました。私たちはみな日本という国、その美しい景色、そしてもちろん人々に、惚れ込んでしまいました。
今回は、A SONG FOR JAPANの動画をつくり、日本のファンの皆様に捧げます。この曲は最適なチョイスだと思いました。私たちはこの曲が惨事に寄せて作られたことをもちろん存じていますが、今回は日本の方々の優しさ、おもてなしの心、美しさ、そして復旧・復興へ向かう力への賞賛という意味でこの曲を解釈し、お贈りします。」

This summer the show Blast! The Music of Disney toured all 47 prefectures of Japan.
We all fell in love with the country, its beautiful landscape, and of course, its people.

We recorded and made a music video of the piece A Song For Japan to dedicate to our Japanese fans.
We all knew it was the perfect piece. Although we know the piece was originally written following a tragedy, we interpreted it as celebration of the kindness, hospitality, beauty and resilience of the Japanese people.
